Comment: of lavenders and dragonflies.. a dragonfly of the genus sympetrum @ the Lavender fields of Furano
peacock-butterfly-1 * Peacock Butterfly. Inachis io Family Nymphalidae. Japanese name: Kujaku-cho. kujaku means peacock.

The Peacock butterfly's wings are reddish-brown on top (previous picture) with distinctive false eye markings. The underside is dark brown to black.
